The Little Italy Mercato is raising the bar on local farmers’ market
food offerings by inviting San Diego chefs to create their own
mini-restaurants on-site. This is no charity sampling event. Like
the Ferry Farmers’ Market in San Francisco and Chicago’s Greenmarket,
chefs create their own menus and prepare and sell their fare
on-site. Open Saturday
mornings from 9 am to 1:30 pm year-round, it follows in the footsteps
of other Little Italy events and attracts big crowds. Interested
